Sector Implementation Consultant
Salary £35000 - £50000 per annum
Start Date ASAP
Job Ref 20118272_1606406686
Description

This outstanding cloud-based property solutions company has continued to do very well throughout 2020 and all the challenges this year has presented. As their property and space booking software is fully cloud based, implementation projects have been carried out as normal throughout the pandemic.

They now need another ambitious, degree educated Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant who has completed several implementation projects working for a solutions company as a Functional Consultant. There is a wide salary range from £35,000 - £50,000, as they are happy looking at implementation consultants at all levels. They are based in London near the River Thames and you will be in the office most of the time, with 2 to 3 days a month on client site, so there is very little travel involved.

The job is to work with the clients understanding their requirements and working out how these fit in with the software solution. Quite often the job is teasing the necessary information from the client as they don't realise that the business processes need to be mapped and can't get their heads around the requirements phase. You will then complete the full life cycle, through configuration to fit, data migration, testing, go-live and client training.

You will be a motivated, very personable, confident, and outgoing Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant who has at least 2 years' experience in functional consulting and software implementation working for a vendor or software company or reseller, ideally with SaaS or Cloud solutions. Property, Bookings, ERP or Accounting software experience would be ideal, but any type of application software such as Legal solutions, Field Service, Dealer Management (DMS), Construction software, Automotive software or similar, would also be most welcome. Much of their hiring decision will be based on you as an individual, and finding out if you are the right fit for their lively, busy team.

Extra knowledge or experience in any of the following would also help: Excel, SQL Server, BI, QlikSense, JavaScript, ERP, T-SQL, Oracle, CSS 3, HTML, accounting, or Crystal Reports.

The company develops and sells property booking software for rooms & spaces within commercial and residential buildings, be that meeting rooms, dining rooms for events, bedrooms or whole apartments or entire offices. So the journey that the software covers is about find the right venue, the right room, and the right property and then taking the customer through the process of registering, searching, viewing, paying the deposit, setting up the standing order, working through the credit check, organising the meet, greet, key pick up phases, then managing the building and linking to the finance software for invoicing and payment.

The solution is cloud based SaaS, so familiarity with cloud or software as a service would be ideal, and you should be a bright consultant who is keen to continually learn, and not afraid to look at complex software functions.

Most implementations are heavily website based and a significant part of the job is to manage the client and the digital agency, which means making sure that everyone knows what their bit of the job is. It is very easy to over promise extra functionality, but much harder to coordinate the effort to get it created, so balance and judgement are crucial. You will start by getting to grips with the solution, you will become familiar with all the processes and how it works and operates. Then you will gain some technical knowledge of the solution, so you are comfortable on a project.

The software doesn't have much standard functionality, and as a Professional Services Consultant you will need to look at the options and then advise the clients on the best way forward, so finding out what is most important to the client is crucial. Therefore, you need to be a brilliant communicator who develops strong, long lasting relationships with your customers. This company has grown substantially since we first started working with them, they are innovative, and their software is current, with brilliant functionality and dashboards, and everyone loves working with it.
