Implementation Consultant

New opportunity to join a specialist software company who are authors of their own software for the construction and architectural industries. Knowledge of the finance or accounting modules of application software is important as this is a project accounting, project costing and budgeting solution that links to many accounting packages like Sage 200, Xero, Pegasus Opera, Access Dimensions, QuickBooks and so on. So knowledge of nominal codes and posting, is really crucial for this role. Head office is situated near New Malden in Surrey but 70% of their clients are in London and your week will be evenly split between days spent in the office and days on client site in London. Salary to £50k.

They are looking for a motivated Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant with a logical mind, strong organisational skills and the gravitas to work with what can be demanding clients at times. You will implement practice management and project management software solutions for construction, engineering, interior design and architectural companies and will be responsible for the full software implementation life cycle.

You will work with clients to gather their requirements, run workshops and analyse their business processes and translate these into technical requirements. You will map paths for their solutions, configure the software, migrate the data, train the users and see the projects through to successful implementation and go-live, within scope and to budget. You will manage the day to day operations of projects, handling client expectations, being the first point of contact for queries, guiding client set up, writing reports and executing the project deliverables, and being an active member of the project team.

They are looking for someone with full life cycle implementation experience, knowledge of accounting software and / or project accounting of project costing software, good business analysis and functional skills, clear, confident communication and client facing experience. Strong Excel is essential and any of the following would be useful: Crystal, SSRS or Power BI reporting software, SQL, knowledge of the construction industry or practice management and professional services and / or and accounting qualification.

You will be an Implementation Consultant or Professional Services Consultant working with application software which has an element of finance or accounting to it. So this could be anything from ERP Software, Facilities Management Software, Property Software, Workplace Management Software or Construction Software - to Pensions Software, Bookings Software, Asset Management Software, Retail Software, Rental Software, or Estate Agency software.
