Implementation Consultant Consolidated Accounts, IMS, Property

We are looking for a highly experienced Implementation Consultant with strong accounting & finance including consolidated accounts, reporting, regulations and investments. This software company has been developing and implementing web-based property management, real estate, property investment management, accounting software and facilities management solutions for the retail, commercial, residential and industrial property market for many years. They have offices in 7 countries, over 2,500 global employees and they are innovative, client focused and very successful. Salary to £65,000 + benefits.

The position is home-based, but many of their key clients are in London, so ideally you will live within 90 minutes commute to London. There will also be some travel to European cities.

The investment management consulting team here, is the most prestigious group in the company globally. They deal with the biggest clients and the most complex finance projects. Most of the work is focused on the consolidation of accounts as property companies own many different properties and many separate businesses, often in foreign countries, so the accounts need to be consolidated. So you have different currencies, incomings and outgoings, and sometimes when an asset it sold, the reconciliation between all the previous accounting entries have to be settled.

So problems like currency consolidation, depreciation, dilapidation, maintenance, and rental income are daily issues. So experience of consolidated accounts in a software implementation job, is critical to this role. This is NOT a role for an accountant. It requires an experienced Software Implementation Consultant, who understands these issues and can handle the full implementation project lifecycle.

The group of 6 consultants in the investment management group are not accountants, but they do understand accounts very well, and they are happy talking to finance people about complex issues and they have an understanding of different European accounting environments.

This would suit a very skilled, intelligent Implementation Consultant with client facing experience configuring, installing and implementing finance software, who enjoys large complex projects, with big successful, prestigious property clients. You may well have a property software background or a specialist consolidation software background, experience of a product like Hyperion could also be useful.
