ERP Technical Implementation Consultant
Fully remote with occasional customer-site travel
£40,000-£60,000 + company carDue to a growing order book, an established ERP vendor is looking for a Technical Implementation Consultant to join its implementation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ERP technical consultant or developer with strong SQL and JavaScript skills who enjoys customer-facing work, business analysis and delivering tailored software solutions. This is an ERP Implementation consultant with technical skills around Java and javascript. You will need to be able to roll your sleeves up and do hands on development work and all the requirements and business analysis too.
The role
You will work alongside functional consultants to deliver enhancements, bespoke development and customisations within the ERP solution.
You will engage directly with customers, analyse their requirements, produce technical specifications and develop appropriate solutions using SQL, JavaScript and Java.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with customers to gather and define technical requirements
- Producing business analysis and technical specifications
- Delivering ERP enhancements and bespoke customisations
- Developing solutions using SQL, JavaScript and Java
- Configuring workflows
- Completing user-interface modifications
- Updating XML configuration files
- Writing reports
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Developing and delivering technical training
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems
- Advising customers on technical best practice
- Managing several customer projects simultaneously
Your background
You will ideally have experience developing or customising ERP software within a manufacturing, distribution or operational environment.
You should have:
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong JavaScript skills
- Java experience, ideally
- Experience delivering technical software solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- The confidence to deal directly with customers
- The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong organisation and project-management skills
- The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
